What is changing in the Library?
The Library is being updated with a new design and a simplified structure. Outdated sections are being removed, and the focus is now on Creative Asset Management, Brand Kit, and Exports. All legacy workflows that no longer fit our product direction have been retired.
Why are these changes happening?
The previous Library contained several old features that were rarely used or duplicated functionality elsewhere in the platform. The update streamlines the experience, reduces confusion, and introduces a modern asset management system that better supports Studio, Catalogs, and Automation Plans.
What is Creative Asset Management?
Creative Asset Management is the new system that replaces the old Uploads section. It gives users a dedicated and reliable place to store and manage assets used across Studio and Automation Plans. It supports organizing, renaming, previewing, and linking assets directly inside Hunch without needing external tools.
What media files are supported in Creative asset management?
It supports Image, Video and Audio files in following formats:
.jpg, .png, .webp, .mp4, .webm, .mp3.
How does Creative Asset Management help with Automation Plans?
Creative Asset Management provides an easy and recommended way to host assets for Automation Plans. Users can generate stable asset links directly in Hunch, which eliminates issues commonly caused by Google Drive permissions, broken links, or complex FTP hosting.
Do I have to stop using Google Drive or FTP?
No. Google Drive links and existing FTP setups will continue to work. However, Creative Asset Management is now the preferred and recommended method for hosting assets. No new FTP setups will be created going forward.
Were my uploaded assets moved to Creative Asset Management?
Yes. All previously uploaded assets are automatically available inside Creative Asset Management. Nothing needs to be re-uploaded. Assets appear as before, but in a more structured and powerful system.
Can I still create templates in the Library?
No. Template creation is no longer available in the Library. Templates must now be created in Catalogs or Automation Plans to ensure a single, consistent workflow.
What happens to my existing templates?
All templates that previously existed in the Library are preserved. You can still access them through the “Create from existing” option when using Catalogs or Automation Plans.
What happened to the “Pages” section?
The Pages section has been removed. Instant Experiences are now created only at the campaign level, and Lead Forms are no longer available inside the Library.
Is the Brand Kit changing?
The Brand Kit remains part of the Library but has a redesigned layout with improved usability. No new configuration options were added.
What changed in the Exports section?
Exports have been redesigned to make previewing and downloading easier. The flow remains familiar but is more intuitive and user-friendly.
Do I need to migrate anything manually?
No. All assets, templates, and settings migrate automatically. Users do not need to take any action before or after the update.
Will the old Library still be accessible?
No. The old Library will be shut down after the release. All users will automatically use the new version.
Will this update affect my existing workflows?
Most workflows remain the same. Assets, brand elements, and exports are still available, now with improved usability. Two workflows have changed:
Users no longer need to rely on FTP, Google Drive, or external hosting to store or link assets. Creative Asset Management now provides a simpler, more reliable, and fully integrated way to manage and host assets across Studio and Automation Plans.
Template creation now happens exclusively in Catalogs and Automation Plans, not in the Library.
Instant Experiences can no longer be created from the Library and are now created only from the campaign level.
How does this impact Studio?
Studio now benefits from a centralized and more reliable asset management system. Assets are easier to organize, search, and control, resulting in a smoother and more consistent creative building experience.
What should I do if something looks wrong after the update?
Report issues through your usual Support channel. Internal teams should report feedback or bugs in the #product-and-cs Slack channel for triage.
Will customers lose any functionality?
No important functionality is lost. Only outdated and redundant legacy features were removed. All essential workflows are preserved or improved in the new Library.
How should I explain this update to users?
Explain that the Library has been simplified and modernized to support better asset management and creative production. Templates now have a single, clear place to be created (Automation Plans or Catalogs), and all assets are managed in a unified, reliable environment with Creative Asset Management.
