Key Points

  • βœ“ Optional: Leave blank to use existing behavior (Child Name Pattern)

  • βœ“ Internal Only: Never published to Meta, only visible in Hunch

  • βœ“ Flexible: Edit anytime, use the same name for multiple masters

  • βœ“ Multi-Level: Works for campaigns, ad sets, and ads

How to Use

Creating New Master

  1. In the campaign editor, locate the "Automated [Entity] Name" field

  2. Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Black Friday Retargeting")

  3. Configure your Child Name Pattern as usual

  4. Save and your master campaign, adset, or ad will display with your custom name

Editing Existing Masters

  1. Open the automated campaign

  2. Add or modify the Automated Name field

  3. Save and the changes appear immediately in all views

Where You'll See It

Campaign Editor Preview: Master entities display your custom name in the left panel

Campaign Overview: See which master generated each entity in dynamic preview

Campaign insights: Master entities in grouped view show labels

Best practices

  • Use descriptive names that reflect your marketing strategy

  • Group related masters by using the same name

  • Include context like season, audience, or objective (e.g., "Q4 Prospecting")

  • Keep names concise but meaningful

  • Leave blank if the Child Pattern is already clear enough
