Catalogs in Hunch are spaces that let you organize, enrich, and manipulate your data feeds. Depending on the type of catalog you’ll be able to enrich your existing product ads and/or to automate complex workflows, all with a single goal of achieving a better performance on paid social.
There are 3 types of catalogs in Hunch:
Hunch Catalogs
Automated Catalogs
Snapchat catalogs
1. Hunch Catalog
The Hunch Catalog is a centralised hub for all your DPA campaigns in Hunch. This is a space where you’ll create your templates for all the channels and placements, enabling you to utilise Adapt to Placement and PLV Package (Meta only features), and create & manage platform catalogs and enriched feed links.
Platforms catalogs are catalogs used for the respective platforms when launching campaigns directly from Hunch. Meta Platform catalog is the only type of Platform catalog for the time being, following by Snapchat Platform catalog which we’ll be merging into Hunch Catalogs, consolidating templates and data.
Enriched feed links represent data feeds with enriched creatives in Hunch used to create and/or update your catalogs on native platforms (e.g. Facebook Ads Manager), and run campaigns with Hunch powered creatives directly from those platforms. This is perfectly handy for running campaigns on Pinterest, and while you can use this solution for Meta and Snapchat as well, it’s recommended to run campaigns on those platforms using Platform catalogs.
👉🏻 Hunch Catalogs will serve as the hub for all future platform integrations.
2. Automated Catalog
The Automated Catalog serves as an instruction plans that Hunch Autopilot uses to build automated campaigns for Meta and Snapchat. Automate Catalog doesn’t create or reflect catalogs on these platforms, they are only being used by Hunch Autopilot to create complex and large campaigns without minimal manual effort.
For a detailed guide on using automated catalogs, check this article.
3. Snapchat Catalog
The Snapchat Catalog, similar to Platform Catalogs, integrates directly with native platforms (Snapchat in this case) and supports up to 20 active templates simultaneously. Snapchat Catalogs is used to manage DPAs on Snapchat directly through Hunch.
Note: This catalog type will soon merge into the Hunch Catalog, consolidating templates and data. The Hunch Team will announce this change in advance, and your performance will not be affected during the transition.
