When you cancel, you keep full access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. The changes described below happen when that period ends.
Before you cancel, it helps to know one rule: your Hunch catalogs need an active plan to keep syncing. You can only have one plan at a time, so cancelling it means all of your Hunch catalogs stop syncing at the end of the period.
To cancel, go to Admin settings. [Confirm: exact steps and button label for cancelling]
Cancelling Template Collections
Until the end of the billing period, everything keeps working as usual, including Product Insights, CPV, Template Collections, and Connect Ads.
After the period ends:
Product Insights and CPV stop, because add-ons are part of Template Collections. Your Insights product sets and Smart Sets stay live with the products they last had, but they no longer update or sync.
Template collections stop syncing. Nothing is deleted in Hunch or Meta, and your ads keep running, but product data such as prices and availability stops updating and can go out of date. Paused collections can't be edited, but you can delete them. See Why is syncing paused?.
Template Collections and Connect Ads become view-only. You can still see your work, but you can't edit or create.
Your enriched feeds and all other Hunch catalogs stop syncing too. To keep your enriched feeds syncing, switch to Enriched Feeds instead of cancelling. See How downgrades work.
If your catalog grows before the period ends
Cancelling doesn't stop automatic bracket upgrades during your remaining time. If your item count grows into a bigger bracket before the period ends, you'll still be charged the prorated difference for the rest of that period.
When you cancel, you'll see this message in Hunch:
Cancelling Template Collections will also stop Product Insights and CPV. Your Template Collections and Connect Ads will keep working until the end of your billing period ([date]), then become view-only and stop syncing until you subscribe again. If you increase your bracket before then, you'll still be charged the prorated upgrade for this period. All Hunch catalogs will stop syncing at period end.
Cancelling Enriched Feeds
Until the end of the billing period, your enriched feeds keep syncing.
After the period ends:
All enriched feeds stop syncing.
All of your Hunch catalogs stop syncing until you subscribe again.
Nothing is deleted on any platform. Your ads keep running, but product data stops updating and can go out of date.
When you cancel, you'll see this message in Hunch:
Your enriched feeds will keep syncing until the end of your billing period ([date]), then stop. All Hunch catalogs will also stop syncing at that point, until you subscribe again.
If you want to keep your catalogs syncing, consider switching to Template Collections instead of cancelling. See How upgrades work.
What stays after you cancel
Cancelling doesn't delete your work. Product sets, Smart Sets, and creative you've already made stay viewable in Hunch. Insights product sets and Smart Sets stay live with the products they last had, but no longer update or sync, and nothing is deleted in Meta or on other platforms. Your ads keep running with the last data Hunch synced. What stops is creating, updating, and syncing.
If you subscribe again later, syncing resumes on the next scheduled sync.
Your account also stays open. You can still sign in and create catalogs, but syncing and publishing need an active plan again.
If you claimed a catalog
If Hunch has taken over syncing a claimed catalog, the pause affects the whole catalog, not only your Hunch ads. Hunch removed the catalog's original sync schedule when it took over, so nothing updates it while Hunch is paused. To keep it up to date, replace its data source in Meta with your original feed or an enriched feed. See Why is syncing paused?.
Checklist before you cancel
Know what stops. Cancelling your plan stops every Hunch catalog from syncing at the end of the period, including enriched feeds. If you only want to keep enriched feeds, switch to Enriched Feeds instead.
Note your period end date. That's when the changes take effect, and it's shown in your billing settings.
Keep an eye on your item count. A bracket upgrade before the period ends is still charged.
Plan for your ads. Once syncing stops, prices and stock in your ads can go out of date. Decide which ads to pause, and if you claimed a catalog, how you'll replace its data source in Meta.
Consider a smaller option. If cost is the concern, turning off an add-on or reducing enriched feeds may be enough. See Turning off add-ons and How downgrades work.
